Kim Soon-Ja

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to develop an art therapy program to improve the ego strength of emotional workers and to verify their effectiveness. The subject of the study was a psychological test of 120 emotional workers working at a K distribution company in Daegu, and among them, 21 people (7 in the preliminary group, 7 in the experimental group, and 7 in the control group persons) with low ego strength scores (10-24 points) were selected according to their voluntary will. The program was conducted 1 to 2 times a week for the experimental group, 10 sessions of 60 minutes each. The research tools are the ego strength scale and the tree test. For data analysis, the formal and content analysis of the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test and the tree test were performed among nonparametric tests, and the contents of each session were analyzed. As a result, the quantitative analysis showed that the negative rank sum and the positive rank sum in the pre-post change of the psychological test were higher in the experimental group than in the control group was found to be significant. In the formal analysis of the tree test, the expression methods such as the location, size, pen pressure, baseline, and fruit expressed by the participants were changed from unstable to stable, and the content analysis was changed from negative to positive. As for the changes in the contents of each session, self-exploitation and recognition, understanding and acceptance of self and others, and self-reflection through art activities improved the emotional worker's ego strength.
